The Value of Field Studies
“When you watch a child participating in a stream study, or any number of other outdoor and environmental education activities, you witness engagement and connection. You witness a child's encounter with the reality and complexity of natural systems, an encounter that activates curiosity and, with teacher guidance, calls upon critical thinking skills in order to understand how the whole is both dependent upon and greater than the sum of its parts”
- Grant Linney, author of: ‘The Value of Outdoor Education.’
By allowing your child to attend a Field Study Programme, you are opening your child’s eyes to the reality of nature. You are providing your child with the opportunity to undergo experiential learning in a beautiful and unspoilt place. The activities offered will equip your child with a wide range of practical and investigative skills which will be used for many years to come.
Your child will be residing in a safe and secure environment, where new friendships will be formed and the experience of staying away from home will be exciting and fun. A variety of nutritious and tasty meals and refreshments will be served each day, and qualified staff will ensure the safety of your child at all times.
The experiences your child will have on one of our programmes will be unforgettable. Your child will gain a sense of independence, and experience the excitement of outdoor learning.
