CAS Programmes at the Ecoventure Field Studies Centre
CAS = Creativity, Action, Service
“The CAS requirement is a fundamental part of the I.B. Diploma programme and takes seriously the importance of life outside the world of scholarship, providing a refreshing counterbalance to academic studies. “
The Ecoventure Field Study Centre, located 10 km outside of Dhaid in Sharjah, is the perfect venue for I.B. Diploma students to visit and spend time working on their CAS programme. There are opportunities for the students to satisfy the requirements for all three aspects of the programme.
The CAS programme can be run alongside a Field Studies programme, or it can be run as an independent trip, where the students work on their CAS programme throughout their stay at the camp.
The number of days spent at the camp will be determined by the CAS requirements that the students have to fulfill.

Ecoventure will supply the following during the CAS trip:
- Transport throughout the trip.
- Accommodation in A/C dormitories or safari tents at the Ecoventure Field Studies Centre.
- All meals during the trip.
- All equipment required for maintenance work to be completed in the camp.
- Student supervision and guidance from Ecoventure staff members.
- Assistance in the organisation of events as required by the students.
- Stationary and paper requirements for documents. E.g. invitations, flyers.
If students are already attending a Field Studies trip at the Ecoventure Field Studies Centre, the opportunity to work on their CAS programme will be determined by the amount of free time they have. Thus, there will be no extra charge for them during the Field Studies Programme.
